For 15 years, Brendon and Jane Harley have been designing and hand-crafting one-of-a-kind metal garden art, first from their home in Nelson and now in the beautiful Catlins region of South Otago. Every piece, from slender garden spears and flowing bulrushes to striking Corten steel screens and 3D sculptural pods, is inspired by the natural world around them.
Specialising in weathering Corten steel, shiny aluminium, and hand-formed wire, Grounded Art NZ creates pieces with their own individual character. The Corten develops a rich, protective rust patina over time, the aluminium catches the light as you pass, and the wire work nestles quietly into the landscape.
